About Dr. Doug Meye
Doug has served in ministry for more than 40 years, including over two decades in various roles such as a student pastor, church planter, and lead pastor of multi-staff churches. Along the way, he has experienced both the joy of fruitful ministry and the pain of disappointment, hurt, and failure—shaping him into a wise, compassionate guide for other leaders.
For the past 15 years, Doug has also served in a church-network leadership role, where his primary focus has been helping pastors from a wide range of church contexts grow and deepen as spiritual leaders. Many simply describe Doug as a “pastor to pastors.”
Doug has been married to his wife, Pat, for 45 years. Pat is a highly respected counselor and the founder of the Renewing Life Center, where she served for many years as Director and Co-Director. Today, she leads the Spiritual Formation Institute. Together, they are the proud parents of two children, David (wife Megan) and Kristen (husband Justin), and grandparents to three wonderful grandchildren.
At his core, Doug is an encourager. He serves leaders as a mentor, coach, and spiritual director, walking alongside them with wisdom, care, and clarity.
Doug holds a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary, is an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation, and has completed his Spiritual Direction Certification through the Spiritual Formation Institute. He has a Mentoring Component for the Health of the Christian Leader.
What People Are Saying About Doug
Doug is an incredible gift to the kingdom of God and has been a blessing to me personally as I pastor here in Las Vegas. I cherish the times that he and I share a cup of coffee and talk life and ministry. His wisdom, his experience, and his dependence on Jesus are evident in the counsel he gives, the perspective he brings, and the way he is a pastor to pastors and leaders. Each time we meet, I leave encouraged, challenged, and inspired to finish the race of ministry well because of his example.

I’d bet Shohei Ohtani, the best player in baseball and maybe the best player ever, has at least ten coaches. And not just for baseball. Why? Because he wants to be the best and stay the best.
That’s what great coaches do. They draw out your best.
Doug Meye, with wisdom shaped by decades of life and ministry, is exactly that kind of coach. If you want to grow, sharpen your leadership, and become the best version of yourself, Doug is someone you want in your corner. His coaching has helped me, and my ministry, immensely.
